All FCP Drivers Finish Top 4 in Points Standings
Sep 1, 2008
It was a very successful season for the Forest County Potawatomi Racing Team in the World Series of Off-Road Racing. After a final weekend in Crandon all five drivers finished in the top four for points on the season with Jeff Kincaid winning the points championship in the Pro Light class.
Kincaid also won the Decision at Sundown, the annual Friday night championship that has given the Pro Light drivers a chance to have their own championship equal to the Borg Warner Championship, earning him the $20,000 posted purse.
After Johnny Greaves set the track record on Friday, he went on to win the World Championship race on Saturday. Greaves also took a stab at the Borg Warner, working his way through then entire field he was forced into contact and ended up rolling his truck and ending his chance at a Borg Warner Championship. Greaves finished fourth in points for the Pro 4 class, winning three of the only four races he took part in.
Ben Wandahsega was another FCP driver that had a chance at the Borg Warner, but having more than 200 horsepower less than the rest of the field he still managed to finish the race in seventh place. Wandahsega also finished second in points standings for the SRT Super Truck class.
Matt Gerald notched three wins on the season on his way to a second place finish in the 1600 Light Buggy class. Gerald was in the points lead going into the first Bark River series but with bad luck on his side was forced to settle for second place after good friend Mike Vanden Hueval took the points championship.
Evan Evans finished fourth in the points standings in the Pro 2 class with one win on the season.
